Tasting Notes
Vinous – 91
The 2020 Aloxe-Corton Village possesses one of Bouley’s more refined and delicate aromatics this year, rose petal and incense unfurling gracefully in the glass intertwined with mainly red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with good grip, a little sturdier and “serious” than many other Aloxe-Corton that I encountered, even at Premier Cru level. Saline, dark berry fruit towards the finish with good length. This will deserve 3-5 years in a cool cellar.
Anticipated maturity: 2025-2038
