“Fermented with the stems, the medium to full-bodied 2016 Cote Rotie Les Grandes Places reflects that to some extent in its complex aromas of bay leaf, mint, green olives and raspberries. Inky ruby. Spice-accented dark berry liqueur, candied violet and licorice qualities on the nose, along with hints of olive and exotic spices. Palate-staining boysenberry, cherry liqueur, floral pastille and fruitcake flavors show very good depth and a spine of juicy acidity.
