Tasting Notes
Robert Parker – 86
Tasted at Château Rauzan-Gassies. The 2011 Croizet Bages, a blend of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon and 29% Merlot, is very reticent on the nose and needs more fruit expression à la 2009 and 2010. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, more freshness than the nose suggests, with an easy-drinking but harmonious red berry and cedar-tinged finish. If the aromatics can muster more intent, then this will turn out to be a satisfying 2011 Pauillac. Tasted June 2015.
Anticipated maturity: 2017-2025

Tasted blind. Round and floral. Very surprisingly fluid for a Pauillac, soft!
