Tasting Notes
Robert Parker – 92
The 2008 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Beaux Bruns is turning into a beautiful Burgundy. There are plenty of bright red berries, raspberry and wild strawberry on the seamless nose, with a hint of marmalade loitering in the background. The palate displays fine concentration, quite powerful and perhaps more masculine than Ghislaine Barthod’s usual style, but it is adorned with a compelling spicy finish. This is only beginning to show what it can do. Drink 2015-2025.
Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025
Vinous – 91
The 2008 Chambolle-Musigny Les Beaux-Bruns is a beautiful wine. The linearity of the vintage is nicely balanced by the fleshiness this site confers. The Beaux Bruns is a relatively approachable 2008 that impresses for its gorgeous balance and long, polished finish.
