Vinous – 91/100
The only bottle not from the titular vintage at the ’62 dinner is the 2003 Montrachet Grand Cru, in remembrance of the late Fabrice Latour. It has a lovely, almost patisserie/frangipane-inflected bouquet. It’s quite generous, with a welcome spiciness emerging with aeration. The palate continues that theme with flecks of white chocolate and almond shavings. It is quite nutty in style, though I notice just a slight oxidation on the finish. Fine. Tasted at the 1962 dinner in Burgundy.
